Hongfeng has established the National and Local Joint Engineering Laboratory (Gansu) and the Provincial Enterprise Technology Center for Steam Waste Heat and Pressure Recovery Technology, the Gansu Provincial Steam System Condensate and Waste Steam Recovery Engineering Technology Innovation Center, the Gansu Provincial Industrial (Valve) Design Center, and the Steam System Energy Conservation R&D Center jointly established with Lanzhou University of Technology, which is one of the "incubators" for research and development, technical exchanges, talent training, and industry-university-research transformation in the field of energy conservation and water conservation of steam systems in China.

Hongfeng has a scientific and technological research and development team composed of scientific and technological leaders and high, medium and low-level engineering and technical personnel, including a number of national and industry standard drafters, national patent inventors and provincial scientific and technological achievements first and second prize winners. The scientific research team uses CAD, CAXA, CAM and other digital means to design, and uses 8.0MPA type experimental device for verification, all kinds of new products can present intuitive three-dimensional models, and can be transmitted to CNC machine tools for trial production through the drawing document system and computer-aided manufacturing system.
